Morning Person

I'm a morning person.

I need about ten minutes into my first cup of coffee before I'm really interactive, then I'm the usual morning type

But not lately. I'm not so sure anymore that its just a personality trait. It is typically unusual for me to wake up LATER than 6:45am. But after several weeks of finished school, honeymooning, and general laziness, I think I've lost my affinity for mornings.

I think part of the problem is our bed though. It is like the mattress lost integrity in the move. Or maybe we fixed the rails wrong, but I haven't slept well since we moved here. We had plans for getting a new bed and mattress, but with the surgery and tests and a high deductible, that won't be happening too soon.

(ps, I am N O T complaining about our insurance system. It is corrupt in some ways and has a lot of places where it could be improved, but the current ideas and plans in play are NOT the answer. Those ideas and plans frankly scare the bejeezus out of me).

oops, off track...not that I'm ever really on a track...anyways... I've started the meat of my graduate assistantship. It is unexciting, but it is a job and I'm enjoying meeting the staff in my department and learning my way around the clinic and campus. I'm also learning to use Boardmaker, a program used a lot by speech language pathologists (that isn't very user friendly). So it's a pretty sweet gig. Longwood is an hour commute (45ish miles). I'll be making this commute four times a week. You might think I'm crazy, but the majority of the students make the same commute. For the assistantship, it's a during the day gig, so I've been getting up earlier than usual. I don't like it! I can only hope that my morning adoration comes back eventually after a few weeks of repeated early mornings.

Until that comes back, picture me scowling and irritable...at least until after second breakfast (usually around 9...)
