He suggested knocking himself back to the Hydrocodone (the nurses indicated it was for less intense pain). So we tried that for the morning dose. It makes him SUPER jumpy and restless. I mean, just sorta moving around constantly. Even now, as he's sleeping, his legs are just jumping away. I think this is really frustrating for him, but on the flip side, he's up and moving around. Definitely less debilitating than the demerol.
Yesterday morning, we took a short walk around the pond and after lunch, he played some wii (one handed sitting down tennis and cornhole, HA). There are still stretches where its pretty bad though. He grimaces and sometimes hits the column near the couch. Sometimes when he's talking, it just sounds strained. But overall, it does really seem to be getting better.
I'm feeling less nervous about leaving him for short periods of time as well. I went to Wal-Mart yesterday (look out, I'm wild...) This Wal-Mart is a nightmare. I've only ever been on weekdays during the day (not at lunch time) and it has been jam packed every single time. I will NEVER EVER set foot in that place on the weekend, I might end up in jail for taking someone down with the squeaky bumpy cart.
Pulled Pork Tacos are on the menu tonight, so I need to get the meat in the crock pot!
