Just Saturday

If any of us reflected on what happened so many years ago at the cruxifiction of Christ, I think today should be even more powerful. Put yourself there. You saw your Christ being sacrificed, you heard the promises. And then what? A whole day of...nothing... The good stuff doesn't come until tomorrow and no one knew it was going to be tomorrow when it would come. In reference to my blog post from yesterday, I don't think I would've handled it well. But what a lesson in patience (I didn't plan yesterday and today's posts in advance, this is God working!) That's why being in the Word is so great. We can be reminded of what He DID do for His followers. Awesome.

20 miles this morning. I've had my smallish cup of coffee, bowl of kashi oatmeal and banana. Wait an hour and I'll be headed out the door. In Greensboro, I'm tempting my fate by running on trails for part of it. But the trails here are so awesome, I can't convince myself not to. I'll be mad enough later if I twist an ankle or screw up my hips by falling in slippery mud.

I'm so glad we came. Holmes finally convinced me it would be better than just being around the house in Richmond. I am bummed for him though because he could've played his first tennis match today (yesterday we thought it was supposed to rain)

But we're here with long runs ahead of us, a lot of relaxing, maybe a little shopping, wedding invitation addressing (Mom doesn't know that yet) and Easter dinner with family. And Mom's taking me for a manicure later :) (pedi's out, I need my calluses for the race).

Happy almost Resurrection Day!
