I saw the CUTEST old couple running together on the greenway this morning. They walked a few times and even sat for a little bit, but they were still out running. So precious.
I also saw a really long black snake...it stretched almost half way across the greenway...eeeewwwwwwwwwwww. I shivered and mini-gagged for a quarter mile.
I really really REALLY hope that all of my friends leash their dogs. For one thing, ITS THE LAW. If you are letting your dog off the leash because he/she's so well behaved, just remember, you don't know who is scared of dogs. I'm not scared of my dog, or my mom's dog. But I AM scared of YOUR dog. I don't know your dog and I don't know what he/she might do. And your dog KNOWS I'm scared of him/her. Also, you don't know other people's dogs. Or raccoons or squirrels. You never know when another animal is going to pique your dog's interest. Ok, enough ranting.
I realized I forgot to mention two other great parts to yesterday...pedicure with Mom and a really good dinner at Mimi's. They have a deal in May for an appetizer/soup/salad, entree, and mini-desert for 12.99. It was GOOOD and PLENTY of food. (Thanks Mom!)
Ben, Brian, and Whitey are in Mexico. No fair.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to hit my 24 minute 5k goal. I figure if I put it out there now, it won't be so disappointing if I don't hit it. (yes, I'm setting up excuses, ha).
Couldn't agree more wiht you on the dog leash thing! I like dogs, but I don't like them running up to me. I never know if they're happy to see me or if I'm their prey! I ran through a neighborhood once and a guy was washing his car and his little poddle like thing was in the front yard unleashed. It saw me and made a b-line for my ankles! The owner did nothing until I had to kick the dog off my leg. Then he had the gaul to fuss at me!!! ARGH! Okay, I feel better now. LOL! Thanks! Good post.
